Neath FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Terry Boyle as their new manager.
Terry is a former Welsh international football player. A centre-half, he was highly regarded by supporters for his strong tackling and uncompromising style.
Boyle began his career at Spurs, making his way through the youth system, but didn’t manage to break into the first team squad and moved to Crystal Palace. He went on to play for various teams around the football league including Cardiff City , Newport County and Swansea City before moving into the Welsh football league with Barry Town .He ended his playing career with player-manager roles at Ebbw Vale, Inter Cardiff and Cinderford Town
Boyle was one of a number of high calibre applicants for the role but his success in working with young players and developing talent made him the stand out choice to take the job.
On his challenge ahead managing the Eagles, Terry said ” Its a pleasure to take the job at Neath, they have had a swift rise in Welsh club football culminating in them qualifying for European football next season. They have a lot of talented lads at the Gnoll and I hope to use my experience in player development to challenge for the league title next season and beyond. There are exciting times ahead at Neath and I very much look forward to playing a part in those.”
Peter Nicholas will continue to work alongside Terry in the role of assistant manager.
