Lee started his career as a professional at Crystal Palace, following in the footsteps of his late father Mark Kendall who played in goal for Tottenham Hotspur. A former Wales International at Under 21 level, Lee returned to Wales with Cardiff City before moving into domestic top-flight with Barry Town. Played 14 games for the champions before a move to Haverfordwest County in 2002 where he later signed a five-year contract, the longest deal agreed in the league.
Lee enjoyed six seasons at the The New Bridge Meadow before a high profile move to Rhyl in 2007 and he won the Welsh Premier League title with the North Wales club in 2008-09 before signing for Port Talbot Town in August 2009 after playing for Rhyl in the UEFA Champions League against Partizan Belgrade. Lee then played a vital part in Port Talbot qualifying for Europe in 2010 for the first time in the clubs history and signed for Neath in June 2011.
After leaving the Gnoll for a brief spell in October, he returned to Neath in January 2012.
