Welsh Cup Fourth Round Draw

Neaths young winger Toby Jones may still get to face some Huw Gray Alliance opposition in some form this season, after Neath drew Flint Town United in the fourth round draw of the Welsh Cup.

Toby signed from Conwy United in the summer who won promotion to the Huws Gray Alliance this season, where his former club have faced Flint Town in the league.

Welsh Cup Fourth Round Draw

Kris O’Leary will take the Neath squad to Cae-y-Castell to face Paul Davies’ Flint Town who also made it into the last 16 on a 4-0 win, after beating Newport Civil Service in the third round.

After beating Bangor City 4-2 on Saturday, cup holders Llanelli face another tough test as Andy Legg takes his team up to Rhyls Belle Vue. Greg Strong's Lilywhites have already knocked out Welsh Premier League outift Newtown, so the Huws Gray Alliance high-flyers will be hoping for a second top-flight scalp.

Exiles Newport County, back in the competition after 16 years absence, face a trek North to TNS at Park Hall. Carl Darlington will be hoping his ‘Saints’ repeat the form of the two clubs last meeting in 2007, when TNS became only the second Welsh Premier League side in the history of the competition to lift the FAW Premier Cup. Recording a 1-0 win at County’s own Spytty Park.

The only Welsh League side left in the competition, AFC Porth, who are managed by former Cardiff City favourite Scott Young have to travel West to Carmarthen Town, whilst the remaining Huws Gray Alliance sides all face Welsh Premier League opposition.

Buckley Town will enjoy home advantage over Colin Caton's Bala Town, whilst Llandudno Town will be hoping to cause an upset at Park Avenue against Aberystwyth Town and Huw Griffiths' Cefn Druids will travel up the A55 to Prestatyn Town.

The only all-Welsh Premier League tie has paired Afan Lido with Airbus UK Broughton at the Marstons Stadium. Both enjoyed derby-day victories in the last Round over Port Talbot and Wrexham respectively and in their two League meetings this term, it was goalless in Aberavon, but the Wingmakers won 3-1 at the Airfield.

The draw in full:

Aberystwyth Town v Llandudno
Buckley Town v Bala Town
Carmarthen Town v AFC Porth
Afan Lido v Airbus UK Broughton
Prestatyn Town v Cefn Druids
Flint Town United v Neath FC
Rhyl FC v Llanelli AFC
The New Saints v Newport County.

Ties to be played the last weekend in January
