Our game against Carmarthen in the second round has been moved to Sunday 18th October, kicking off at 2.30 at the Gnoll.

Neath FC v Llanelli - Friday 9th October 2009.

Revenge is normally served better cold, but if we are to serve it to Llanelli it will have to be served red hot! We play the Reds in the League after losing out in the Welsh Cup to them six days earlier- on penalties after having the better of the game! After the disgraceful behaviour of some Llanelli fans at the Gnoll on Saturday, where their fans infiltrated the Neath bench to shout abuse at Neath coaches and young fans were regularly heard to shout 'Neath are Scabs', we aim to attempt to try and promote a more family friendly atmosphere at the Gnoll by inviting our Academy players and their families along to the game. It is Neath's opinion that a family atmosphere at all games is more conducive to Welsh Football progressing its top League product than hearing language that forced mothers to take their children out of the ground, as happened on Saturday, due to the unwarranted and vitriolic abuse handed out by a number of Llanelli supporters. Such behaviour will not be tolerated at the Gnoll on Friday and any individual who is heard to be violating Ground rules will be immediately ejected.
Hopefully it will prove to be a good game of football, as was the case on Saturday, but this time without the unneeded abuse that some Llanelli fans decided to use on Friday.
